Pirate Biography
This assignment involves researching and discovering new information about a pirate of your choice and writing a 1-2 page paper on your findings. You will be expected to use several different sources, including books and internet to gather your research and cite these sources using both in-text citations and a bibliography. You also need to go through the writing process and proofread on your own and with a peer or adult.
Suggested elements to include:

-Use Google Docs where you can save your notes and rough drafts
-You should use a font that is readable and the size should be 12pt. with 1.5 spacing.
-No pictures need to be included in the biography
-Copy and Pasting your Biography assignment will result in a 0 and a phone call to parents. This is plagiarism and will not be tolerated.
Bibliography Information
You will need to use at least 3 different sources, including 1 book, which will need to be cited appropriately. Below are examples of appropriate citations using a book and the Internet. You will also need 3 in-text citations – for example:
Edward Teach, also known as the famed pirate, Blackbeard, was born in England around 1680, however no one is certain of his exact birth date. Edward Teach was originally a privateer from England where he served in the Queen Anne's War from 1701-1714, but like so many other privateers he was forced out of work when
the war ended (The History of Pirates, Konstam).
