Culture Book
Using the knowledge and information that you have attained through our discussions on culture, create a mini-book outlining the various elements of culture. First, write down the elements that make up culture (see notes) and then begin brainstorming on how you would illustrate these themes with pictures. Lastly, draft an explanation on why/how your element/picture is important to culture (provide examples). Now you are ready to begin construction of your culture book.

Element of culture: Sports [draw pictures]
Why Important to culture: Sports are important to culture because they can bring people together in healthy competition. They also can bring groups of fans together to enjoy the sport. Finally, cultures take great pride in their sports and it can become a form of cultural identity.
Examples of sports in Australia are: Rugby, Australian rules football, cricket, and soccer
Elements of Culture:
1. Customs/Traditions 2. Environment 3. Language 4. Writing 5. Religion
6. Food 7. Government 8. Music 9. Art/Architecture 10. Clothing 11. Tech 12. Sports
To make a book at home: Use 3 sheets of white paper and 2 staples to provide the binding. You should have enough space using front and back to include all 10 of the cultural elements we talked about in class. Use color and neatness to arrive at your final product (culture book).
